How We Bring Your Project to Life
Choosing a contractor is a big decision, and we believe clear communication from the very beginning makes all the difference. At Matthew 6 Construction, our consultation and estimating process is designed to give homeowners in Ludington, MI and surrounding West Michigan areas a complete understanding of their project, so you can make confident, informed decisions with no surprises.

Consultation & Estimating
Getting Started
Once you reach out by phone, email, text, or through our online form, a team member will contact you within two business days. During this first step, we gather basic project details, answer initial questions, and outline the next steps.
You may be asked to provide photos, the project address, a general description of the work, and any timeline considerations. This helps us understand your goals before we move into the consultation phase.
Initial Consultation & Good Faith Estimate
Next, we schedule a Good Faith Estimate call, typically held virtually through Google Meet. This allows us to review your project in more detail, discuss your goals, and talk through scope, layout, and design ideas.
During this call, we:
Review your project details and priorities
Answer questions about the process
Discuss early design and layout ideas
Provide a rough budget range for planning purposes
After the call, we provide a written summary within three business days so you have a clear record of everything discussed.
If you’re ready to move forward, we then schedule an on-site visit.
Preconstruction Services Phase
Once you approve the next step, we visit your home or project site to gather detailed measurements, evaluate existing conditions, and refine your project scope. This phase includes site visits and measurements, coordination with subcontractors for accurate pricing, design and layout refinement, and review of materials and suppliers. The goal is to ensure your final estimate is accurate, detailed, and aligned with your vision and budget. If you choose to move forward, the Preconstruction Services Fee is applied toward
Construction Phase & Beyond
Once construction begins, we stay actively involved to ensure everything runs smoothly. Our team manages communication, timelines, craftsmanship, inspections, and any changes that come up along the way.
Even after your project is complete, we remain available for support. Our goal is not just to complete your project, but to make sure you feel confident and satisfied with your home for years to come!
