Joel Bates, Project Manager at Matthew 6 Construction, brings a unique background from his previous career as a boat mechanic on the Great Lakes, where he provided shore support on a tug and worked as an engineer on Great Lakes ships. His experience in maritime environments honed his problem-solving and mechanical skills, which he first applied as our Lead Carpenter before stepping into his current role as Project Manager.

Joel considers himself a "student of life," constantly seeking to learn new skills and improve his craft, while paying close attention to even the smallest details. He values the supportive culture at Matthew 6 Construction, where mutual respect and clear communication create an environment that fosters growth and teamwork.

Joel and his wife live on Hamlin Lake, where they enjoy spending time with their two dogs, boating, and riding the trails.
