A New Ramp for

Home Team Housing

A new wood ramp built to improve access and make getting in and out of the home easier.

Improving Access | Ludington, MI

Every home should have an entrance that works for the people who live there. For this project, we partnered with Home Team Housing to replace an existing deck with a new wood ramp, creating a more accessible and practical way to enter and exit the home.

The project began with removing the existing deck to make way for the new structure. From there, we built a wood ramp designed to provide a more direct, functional connection between the home and the outdoors.

Built for Everyday Use

The new ramp provides an alternative to a traditional set of steps, helping make the entrance more accessible and easier to navigate. Using wood for the new structure gives the ramp a natural appearance that complements the home, while the overall design focuses on practicality and everyday use.

By removing the existing deck and building a new ramp in its place, we were able to make a meaningful improvement to how the entrance functions without changing the home's overall footprint.

Donating Labor to Make a Difference

For this project, Matthew 6 Construction donated the labor needed to complete the ramp. We're grateful for the opportunity to put our skills to work on a project that supports a local homeowner and helps meet an important need.

Home Team Housing, formerly known as Habitat for Humanity of Mason County, serves Ludington, Scottville, and the surrounding Mason County communities. We're glad to work alongside a local organization focused on housing and to contribute to projects that help make homes more functional for the people who live in them!
