This Hamlin Lake cottage has been a special place for the family, even from afar in California. Over the years, though, it started to feel dated and no longer matched the bright, relaxed feel they were looking for.
Their goal was to refresh the entire home, inside and out, while keeping the character and memories that made it meaningful.

Taking on a full remodel from out of state isn’t easy. From the very beginning, this project relied on clear communication, trust, and collaboration. From the initial walkthrough to ongoing updates, everything was handled remotely, making sure the homeowners stayed informed and involved every step of the way.

A Full Interior & Exterior Transformation
This was a full refresh of both the exterior and interior of the cottage, bringing everything up to date while creating a lighter, more modern feel throughout the home.
The exterior was updated to give the cottage a clean, refreshed look, while inside, the focus was on creating bright, comfortable spaces that feel easy to live in.
New windows and doors brought in more natural light and improved functionality, while updates throughout the kitchen and living areas helped tie everything together. From flooring to cabinetry, every detail was chosen to create a space that feels cohesive, welcoming, and ready for everyday use.
The Finished Space
With the remodel complete, the cottage feels like a completely new home while still holding onto the memories that made it special. The spaces are brighter, more open, and better suited for how the family uses the home today.
It’s now a place that feels just as comfortable and inviting as they had hoped, ready to be enjoyed for many seasons to come.
